In response to "Strengthen And Improve International Communication" and to create a professional cross-border communication platform in the context of globalization in 2023, The New Emerging Countries International Media Forum (hereinafter referred to as "THE NEW Media Forum") is scheduled to be held in Deyang, Sichuan Province, China and Manila, Philippines from March 31 to April 2, 2023.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of China's Belt and Road Initiative. Delegates from member states and other developing nations are meeting at the inaugural Emerging Countries Media Forum this weekend. Zheng Songwu reports from the event in Deyang in Sichuan Province.
The Forum brings together representatives of international organizations, the media, academics, experts, and diplomatic envoys from nine countries, with events being hosted in China, the Philippines and Singapore over the weekend.
Organizers – among them the China International Communications Group – and attendees hope the Forum encourages discussion of issues that matter to developing nations.

WOLTERS Senior Adviser United Nations Human Settlements Programme SDG "Actually they are playing a very important role because the developed countries, the most advanced countries, they don't have too many difficulties to develop more, but the emerging countries, they have a lot of other things to do, they are not close to the sustainable development as yet, so it's very important that more developed countries work very closely together with the emerging countries to help them. Also, it's the 2030 agenda, so it's only seven years to go. Everybody expects you to be on a sustainable level, it's very important for these countries to be helped and to exchange how to raise their level to the standard level by 2030."

Energy and the environment, global poverty reduction and cross-cultural communication are among the areas being covered at the Forum.

The year 2023 coincides with the 10th anniversary of the joint construction of the “Belt and Road” Initiative. In order to create a professional cross-border communication platform in the context of globalization in 2023, The New Emerging Countries International Media Forum is scheduled to be held in Deyang(About 100 kilometers away and one hour's drive from Chengdu), Sichuan Province, China and Manila, Philippines from March 31 to April 2, 2023.
